Hummingbirds have been real steady this whole week peaking in the early sun up
hours and late afternoon as they swarm the feeders. I'm estimating I have about
100 in the yard area including my neighbors yard where there is a feeder. They
are starting to allow each other to feed at the feeders together 3-6 at a time
(I have the big feeders). Some bullies still present but it looks like they are
getting ganged up on when they come in to start trouble.

Using close to three liters of Hummingbird sugar water a day for the seven
feeders on the back porch.

Racoons have forced me to bring in the feeders at night. Last night I went out
bring the feeders in and I first thought I had a late night Hummer, turned out
to be a Huge White-lined Sphinx Moth at the feeder.

Nice cool mornings allowed me to have breakfast on the back porch with the
hummers these past three mornings (three day weekend) enjoying thier antics
around the deck and in the Butterfly bushes.

Looking forward to the Hummingbird Festival At Strawberry Plains Audubon Center
in Holly Springs, MS this coming Fri-Sun (10-12 Sept).
With this many birds at my house this week the festival should have a lot just
south of here on the weekend.
