Birders, Here in Warner Valley I had the pleasure of watching a mother Phoebe line her three babies on a limb about 12' off the ground this morning in my back yard. They were sitting very close together and fully feathered-little copies of their mom. She then dashed away and began fly catching and feeding her bird babies. I must say the feeding is done very quickly and if you blinked you would miss it! This went on for a few hours and I had to leave so I did not see them head for home. I have no idea where the nest is located. I must have about eight Phoebes flying around all day long. I also have three Chickadee babies in my blue bird box. The mother took two of them out this afternoon for a flying lesson. The Blue Birds keep looking into the box as if to say, hurry up and fledge! Linda V.
