This morning on the way to work I was driving down Windy City Road through
Crockett County when a Pectoral Sandpiper flushed from a side ditch and
flew in front of my truck. In fact about 2 feet more and I would have hit
him! This was my first Pec of the year.
Also my Purple Martins finally showed up on Saturday - 3 males and 2
females arrived at about 1:30 pm. They were about a week later than
normal this year.

Good birding,

Mark Greene
