About a week ago I had one male Orchard Oriole fly to my hummer feeder and
light on the flower and proceeded to drink as if it had done this before. I
made it easier for him by removing the bee guard. It soon was apparent that
this was nothing new to him.
The next morning there were three adult males taking turns while the hummers
did without. I hung another feeder out but they just covered this one also.
This went on for a week and this morning there was a female and a first year
male and no hummers. That was it for me and I took the feeders down and moved
one to the front of the house hoping the hummers will find it and the orioles
will go to someone elses feeder.
Anyone else had this trouble?
