Radnor Lake State Natural Area Nashville-Davidson Co, TN May 18, 2011 . The cool overcast skies did not deter 20 birders from joining the last of this Spring's Wednesday morning Walks at Radnor Lake State Natural Area. We tallied 15 warbler species, including a WILSON'S WARBLER by the Long Bridge and two CANADA WARBLERS. MAGNOLIA WARBLERS and AMERICAN REDSTARTS were well-represented today. Missing, however, were both the Connecticut and Mourning Warblers, although we had a nano-second sighting of a bird that could possibly have been a MOURNING WARBLER adjacent to the Long Bridge. Two PHILADELPHIA VIREOS were a nice addition to the walk. I'd like to thank all who participated in the walks this spring, and extend a special thank you to Susan Hollyday who so cheerfully volunteered to maintain the field check list each week.
