Sumner Co., south of Gallatin Farm Pond along Cages Bend Rd 7-28-04 The Cattle Egrets just keep coming, as I counted a total of 37 birds on the afternoon of the 28th. Once again there was at least one juvenile present. Late afternoon seems to be the best time of day to view the birds, I rarely find any in the morning (I assume they are off feeding in the surrounding pastures).
