The drake Canvasback was still in the Whittington subdivision pond at 5 pm tonight. So if you need one for the state or county give it a try. If it is not readily visible in the pond it often hunkers up against the bank nearest the cul de sac. Directions: From US 411/129 heading toward South (towards Vonore) turn on Sandy Springs Road at the Exxon station with the Backyard Burger sign. Follow Sandy Springs to the stoplight at the intersection with Montvale Station Road where the road magically become Carpenter's Grade. Continue to the BP station and turn left onto Raulston Road. Whittington entrance is next on right. Follow the entrance road to the stop sign. Turn left and the pond is directly in front of you.
