It is just a guess on my part. I am having trouble believing we have enough
habitat for breeding Kentuckys. I would love to believe it. I would also
love to believe the black and white (also a male) we have seen once or twice
a week since late May, is a breeder. We heard (Laurie first, then I used
the Songfinder) the black and white once, but we have not heard the Kentucky
at all. If I am within 30 feet or so of a singing Kentucky I can hear them
without the Songfinder. On the other hand, birds coming to the creek are
almost always silent with the exception of blue jays.
Maybe these are guys who just couldn't find a lady.
