[Sevier County (east of Knoxville)]

Here is information about our field trip for tomorrow. If it is raining
lightly, we will still try to make the trip.

Saturday, April 14, 7:30 a.m.

Field trip to TVA's Trotter Bluff Small Animal Wild Area trail above Douglas
Dam.
Leaders: David Trently (dtrently@xxxxxxx); 531-1473; and Jay Singer
(jjdmsinger@xxxxxxxxxxxx)
Meet at the Comcast parking lot on Asheville Highway just north of I-40 at
7:30 a.m. - or meet at the trailhead around 8:30.
(Directions: From I-40 Exit 407 drive south 2 miles to a left turn onto Hwy
139. Go ~3.5 miles on 139 to Hwy 338. Go south on 338, cross the river, and
look for the "Dam Store". Turn left, following signs to Douglas Dam Headwater
Campground. Look for a parking area with a restroom building.
If you can't find the place, call Jay at 865-406-9952, or me at 865-771-8288.

It's a pleasant one mile loop through hardwoods with, at least in winter,
views of the lake, the dam and the river.
As far as I know, this is our first trip to this area.
