[TN-Bird] I-840 and Owls

Last weekend while traveling I-840  I noted that much of it offered good 
habitat for short-eared owls.  Since I wasn't driving for a change, I had a 
good 
opportunity to keep scanning for an owl.  Near the racetrack exit I saw one 
bird fly up from the ground which could well have been an owl. It was being 
harrassed by a few other birds. In years past I know that s-e- owls have been 
seen 
in this area.
       Is there anyone who drives this road regularly and has had some good 
sightings and in particular short-eared owls?
