Henry Co. near McKenzie
I spent a couple of hours yesterday afternoon looking/listening for change
of season birds near home; my 1st real day out this season. I was also
scouting my usual warbler route that I run on mornings off, being on timber
company land it tends to change some from year to year. I did a little
better with warblers than I had anticipated, though nothing really early was
in attendance. I saw or heard the following:

Northern Parula (several)
Yellow-throated Warbler (two)
Black-throated Green Warbler (one)
Pine Warbler (several)
Yellow-rumped Warbler (several)
Black-and-white Warbler (one)
Louisiana Waterthrush (one)

Nothing else much happening, kind of expected a White-eyed Vireo, but not
yet. One of my reliable Lark Sparrow spots over the last few years looks
pretty iffy this year, as the area is planted in wheat instead of corn. Corn
is a common them in the areas I get Lark Sparrows around the
Henry/Weakley/Carroll Co area.

Good Birding!!
