Tn-birders,
Not wanting a Nashvillian to out do us east Tennessee'ers, I must relate about
our own Rose-breasted Grosbeaks at our feeders. We live in SE Anderson County.
Based on how many we can see at any one time, Dollyann and I estimate we have
at Least 25 RBGR's at our feeders. They have been an absolute delight to watch
for the past 5-6 days. That's along with the 9 male Indigo Buntings we had a
one time. Our Phoebe has nested, not on the nice wood platform I nailed up to
our porch, but on our bathroom vent outside our back door. The babies are
nearly spilling out of the nest as we speak. We are also ready for the wall of
the house by the back door to become poop free.
Great birding,
Ron Hoff
