Sunday 12- 21- 03 Cove Lake State Park/ Campbell County This afternoon while on the way home from participating in the Smokies CBC, Jimi and I found 2 adult BALD EAGLES at Cove Lake State park. Both were sitting within a few feet of each other on the side of the lake nearest the interstate. A lone Eagle had been seen for several days last week. Also present were 32 Hooded Mergansers, 9 Gadwall and 4 Ring-Neck Ducks on the main lake. Anyone checking the park should be on the alert for Red Crossbills as the Pine Cone crop is excellent this year.
