Yesterday (4/6) I received a call from Dennis Harris reporting
shorebirds at the pond at Standifer Gap Marsh. Thanks to his call I
checked it out and observed 13 Pectoral Sandpipers, 1 Solitary
Sandpiper and 6 Wilsons Snipe at the pond. I then scanned the marsh and
observed an AMERICAN BITTERN in flight over the cattails, heard a single
Marsh Wren and two Soras.

I heard my first Scarlet Tanager and Blue-winged Warbler of the spring
at my residence at the Cravens House on Lookout Mountain yesterday.
