Others in the ABA area that I have seen or heard discussed in the last year or
so:
Scopoli's Shearwater (from Cory's)
Common Teal (from Green-winged)
American Herring Gull (from Herring Gull)
Red Crossbill (a potential nightmare - up to 7 species with poorly understood
distributions and distinguishable only by vocalization)
Common Raven (into two species)
Nashville Warbler (into two species)
White-crowned Sparrow (into two or more species)
Dark-eyed Junco (into two or more species)
Tricolored Blackbird (the southern California subspecies being split off)
Lillian's Meadowlark (from Eastern)

Possible lumps:
Northwestern Crow (into Common Crow)
Bicknell's Thrush (back into Gray-cheeked)
McKay's Bunting (into Snow)

I have also been continually amazed at the lack of discussion about resplitting
Audubon's and Myrtle Warblers. In my fairly extensive field experience with
both, they are dramatically different in their vocalizations (both calls and
songs) in addition to their appearances. However, they also apparently
hybridize like crazy where they overlap, with no apparent loss of fitness to
the hybrids, so go figure.
