well let me state this a little better and i'll stop, if the only thing i did was walk once or twice to the convention, then it is not an issue. This was Vegas, you walk everywhere and you do it a lot. As i said, i covered 50 miles in sandles. My ankles hurt so bad by day three I was looking for a cortisone shot. :)

Now, enough said, you are looking at it as 1 mile, I am looking at it as mile 45, big difference.

Half a mile?

Really?

I'm just not getting it. If walking a half a mile, or even an extra 1
mile over a round trip is a pain, then either something ain't right, or
our modern lifestyle has turned us all into southern (this won't make
sense to you US-ers, but Brian might rise to the bait ;-)),
shandy-drinking wimps.

and some would think it a pain in the backside.

Yebbut, if you're only talking about half a mile - or even a

of a mile?

A couple of miles, when you're in a hurry I can understand,

but half a

mile or even (doubled-up) a mile?

Some people would think that was adding quality to their lives...

when you factor in the walking done while being a tourist

and add on

top the number of trips to the convention hall, by day
3 it was rough on the feet. I covered almost 50 miles in my time there. When you're wearing dress shoes and sandles, it is

not exactly

ideal.

I have to agree with Jeff on this one. I also would add the

distance

from the rooms to the actual convention was tough after 3 days. I

think it was about a half mile and that was if you stayed

in Mandalay

Bay.

Forgive my Brit ignorance - but half a mile and tough in the same paragraph? Is there something I'm not getting?
