Hi Jeremy,
But that gets rid of the welcome message by turning off reading layout,
which I think Chris wants to retain.
This would have to be some sort of first-run setting buried somewhere in the
office configuration. That means it's not covered by group policy and if
Chris is conserving HKCU\Sofware\Microsoft\Office\11.0 or 12.0 on logoff and
it's not sticking then it's somewhere else.
