Hi James,

Technically it's possible to have 2 instances of WI running on the same IIS
server, each with it's own template.ica.

That way your CFO could have his own web site.

But I haven't done it yet :-(.

regards,

Rick

Hi Rick and Cherie,

Thank you both for your input. The problem is that template.ica settings
override what is set on the farm.

It doesn't seem to be possible to setup a separate app with different
speedscreen settings if you are using the web interface.

As the CFO is accessing work via web interface from home we seem to be stuck
with global speedscreen settings.

Speedscreen can be turned off based on applications/input fields etc when it
is a normal ica connection. Putting web interface in the picture changes
things.

I was hoping that there may be some sort of different config for
template.ica that would allow per application settings. Hoping.. is the
word :-)

James.

Hi James and Rick

I thought you could disable speedscreen on an individual application basis.

If you open the "SpeedScreen Latency Reduction Manager" on the server,
during the add application wizard(for excel) you have the option to Deselect
"Enable local text echo for this application".

Once you have completed the wizard and then view the properties on the
application, it has "Disable Local Text Echo for this application" enabled.

Won't this turn off Speedscreen for the designated application?

I found a problem some time ago with an application and speedscreen that
caused an impressive memory leak. This is what I did to get around it...well
it seemed to work!!

Hey Rick am I in lala land on this one?

Cheers

Cherie
