As I recall from eons ago, NT4 TSE by default, makes subdirectories for each user under the main TEMP directory. The flattemp command simply defeats this hierarchy and throws everyone into the same directory defined in the %TEMP% environment variable. This always sounded like a bad idea so I never attempted it. Not sure what your N: and O: drives are but this anomaly doesn't sound like it's related to flattemp. I would check the system wide TEMP setting and subsequently check the user TEMP settings for the affected user and another, working user. You should be able to see something overriding the normal drive. Let us know how you make out. He has an NT4 Terminal Server running MF1.8, he is using the flat temp command, however any user that is logging in before he has used that flat temp command, has a temp file going to n:\temp, instead of o:\temp like all the rest of the users? Any Ideas, I have forgotten most of my NT4 stuff. David Teague Support Anaylst TMTsoftware 919-493-4700
