Hi David,

Autocreated printers can "help" as well.

The "slow" feature happens often enough that it's just part of my standard 2003
build on customer sites.

regards,

Rick

I think I found that it is slow mapping back to the client C and D
drive...
If I run the command from just a cmd prompt once I've logged in,
it will run but my C and d (U and V) don't actually show up for
about
            2 minutes.....

Good call on the CMSTART.EXE. When I removed it the login was
fine.
But, of course it did not map client drives. When I moved it to
the USRLOGON.CMd
it just slowed it down. I checked and it exists in the path, so
I still am confused.

                Hi,

                Try removing cmstart.exe from HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Appsetup.

If that speeds things up, then put cmstart (it does all the ICA
client redirection stuff) at the end of usrlogon.cmd.

                regards,

                Rick

This morning (at 3 am) I loaded ALL of the
Win2k3/XP FR3 patches to no avail.
                                    Any ideas?

I have a server running Windows
Server 2003 and Metaframe XP SP3.
Logging in through a published app,
either seamless or to the desktop,
                                            literally take 5 minutes. Logging
in thru a custom ICA connection or
RDP is instantaneous. I tried the
hotfix for seamless apps to na avail.
                                            Any ideas?
