For CCNA, you don't need much.  You can get by with Boson RouterSim in
fact.  If you plan to further your Cisco knowledge into CCNP and beyond,
you'll want modern equipment, a 2600 series to make sure you can run
version of IOS the updated exams are based on.

A 1700 series router, like a 1720, will run the IOS you need to be able
to pass CCNA, and have an afordable physical router.

I am studying for my CCNA and would like to get a used Cisco router to
play with.  Any suggestions on what Cisco router I would want to use,
2500 series??
