If you are like me and you have always felt that this should actually be
solved by MS and/or Citrix, look no further. Citrix will announce the
aquisition of sepagoPROFILE at Synergy in Houston.

It appears to address the specific problem that large profiles,
and/or profiles with many files in them, leading to long login times. It
is probably fair to say that it does not address the architectural
issues with profiles themselves. In my experience there are plenty of
organizations in which long login times are a real
productivity/satification/cost factor and I think it is great that there
is a solution that can directly address that. I think it is cool....

Is anyone out there using the virtual profiles software? It
seems that the main benefit is logon time, which of course is critical
but am I missing anything as far as other benefits/problems solved? Not
knocking at all, it's a great idea....in fact is a TS environment the
only place it can be used or can it be implemented for roaming profiles
on a fat client?
