Just to throw out some info...
My users always get the protocol driver error when the network is having
issues
We added LMLookup host files on the servers and it seemed to help

That hotfix is for Nt4. This is 2000. Thanks for the suggestion though. I am
at a loss as to why the server will not accept connections. I have attempted
to reapply Metaframe Service pack 3 but I get an error saying that the
service pack is older that what is on the system... Odd... I guess I will go
to back up tapes at this point.

Thanks

I would try to re-apply MS Hotfix Q269214.

I just received my metaframe1.8 on 2k server back from some software
engineers. Now, When you launch the ICA client and attempt to connect you
get a protocol error. Its as if the server is not online... The server is
up. I have IP. I can browse to shares. No errors in the event log.. I
checked the ICA settings..... I am at a loss..

What did they break? Any ideas?

Thanks!

Clark
