I remember when NT3.1 came out, there was some reg keys documented that provided a per user execution of autoexec.bat?? I wonder if it is searching dir structures for it? I think autoexec is still relevant in some cases because of the point in the whole logon procedure that it gets executed. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Ron Oglesby Sent: 10 September 2004 03:33 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Processing the autoexec.bat??? OK. Interesting one. I had one customer that had this showing up when running a userEnv debug (for logon) and now I have run into another place that has. It seems Windows 2003 specific, but if you turn on the userEnvDebug level to verbose (10002) you see in the log a 11-12 second gap where it says "unable to process autoexec.bat" , I mean WTF, what is this DOS ? Anyway, anyone else seen this. Seems to happen most often AFTER the local copy of the profile has been deleted and a new local def user profile is needed. But the log shows it is copied and all and its not that. I mean how can a 400K profile take 11 seconds to copy.. Thoughts?
