Andrew,

What process is it? Your ability to do it from task manager is limited =
by the permissions that your account has. Even an admin account is =
limited in what it can do in comparison to the System Account. Our =
product, TScale allows you to create a rule that says that if a process =
exceeds X% of CPU for N seconds reduce its priority automatically until =
it no longer exceeds the CPU threshold. This is done by our service =
which runs in the context of the system account, which allows us to do =
things that you cannot do from any user account.

You can download a free 30 evaluation from our site, www.rtosoft.com. =
Just make sure to reply to the automated email that you get, and request =
the evaluation license key so that the product can be activated.

Our system is NT4 (MF1.8) - is there any way to change the priority of a =
pr=3D
ocess belonging to another user? When I try it says access denied!
Presumably this is an NT4 limitation?
