Hi,
If there's a pending print job to a disconnected client printer you've got
problems. The spooler won't be stable until the print job is gone.

Just set the service recovery to "run a program" and have it run a script,
eg clnspool.cmd as below.

----
@echo off
:: clnspool.cmd - clean print jobs out of the priter queue before
retstarting the service.
Del /q %systemroot%\system32\spool\printers\*.*
Net start spooler
----

Rick

We are Windows 2003 with Citrix XPa FR3. On one server, you can start the
spooler service but then it stops when you exit out of the computer
management console. The event log shows that it tries to start it 5 times
then it fails.

Any ideas?
