Bob- I ran into the same issue. Since the STA is now built into the XML service there is an identifier in the ctxsta.conf (Usually in C:\Program Files\Citrix\System32) that you must change after imaging. I typically rename it to the same as the server. Downsides. Did you have any issues with getting the Print manager to run under the ctx_sma user? I had to manually adjust permissions using the CTX106393 as my guide. http://support.citrix.com/kb/entry.jspa?entryID=6253 _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Bob Coffman Jr. - Info From Data Sent: Thursday, October 13, 2005 8:58 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] PS4 Imaging Actually, 2 questions. In my lab I used an VM image of a PS4/2003 server to add a second app server. When I went to install a test Secure Gateway, the Secure Gateway configuration wizard detected that both of my STAs (the imaged servers) had the same identifier. Anyone know how I can work around this? Second question is - any other downside to imaging PS4/2003 servers like this? I copy the disk, boot it without a net controller, and run Newsid to rename it, and that has worked well in the NT4/XPe world. Thanks - Bob Coffman
