I haven't really followed much on these types of programs, but I thought someone mentioned a bit ago that spybot itself actually installs some sort of spyware? True or not? -----Original Message----- From: Matt Maher [mailto:mmaher@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, April 19, 2004 2:16 PM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: Outlook 2000 Hangs- to Jim Do you have any advice on the install? After SpyBot is installed does it take a while to login? What one doesn't catch the other does. You will be AMAZED after running these programs how many things they find on your system and clean up. Spybot allows you to "immunize" your system thereby preventing the infections from happening again. Adaware has ad blocking features in the purchased version. The free version does not have that feature. You need both of these because they catch and fix different things. Be sure and do the update for pattern files after you install each of these products. You also might not want to run them with users on the system.
