I like the idea, and $50 seems reasonable. It is enough to prevent people from signing up for the service if they aren't serious consultants, and not too much to discourage anyone who IS serious.. I would do it at $50 per year. This will help keep the list fresh. If you leave it at $50 forever, people who retire or change careers or email addresses will clog up the system in a few years. Rating is tricky, because you have to work in a system where people can't beat it by giving themselves a high rating or their competitors a low rating. How would you manage that?
