Definitely go Centrino.  Battery life for standard office suite and internet
use is simply amazing.  I've got over a dozen Latitude D series in the field
(D600).  The weight to performance ratio is great.  One user recently called
me and said she got 4 straight hours of battery use (she didn't realize she
wasn't plugged into the wall).

A 1.6ghz Centrino is equivalent to a 2.2ghz P4-M, or there abouts.  I
honestly wouldn't touch an AMD in a notebook unless I needed an ultra budget
machine.

What are your thoughts / experience on the Centrino based Laptops? Looking
to get a bunch of our mobile users new machines and not too sure if I should
look at Centrino / P4 / AMD processors. The users are in and out of the
office about 50% of the time. Not too heavy CPU intensive while connected on
site. Most of the users will also install the odd game here and there.
