Hi Erik,

There isn't anything available officially.

Either configure the default user before letting any users log on, or
use the custom policy setting below.

Just insert it into a policy template and it'll do what you want.

The only proviso is that this is an unmanaged policy so you will have to
set the view filter on gpedit to alow you to see unmanaged policies.

CATEGORY "Visual Effects"
KEYNAME
"Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VisualEffects"
    POLICY "Visual Effects"
        PART "Disable Visual Effects" CHECKBOX
         VALUENAME "VisualFXSetting"
             VALUEOFF NUMERIC 0
             VALUEON NUMERIC 2
        END PART
    END POLICY

END CATEGORY ; visual effects

Enjoy.

Regards,

Rick

Hi,

I need to force all users to use the "adjust for best performance"
setting in their W2K3 terminal sessions. Is there a way to force them to
use this setting? I can't find it anywhere in the GPO's.

Tx
