A bit crass replying to my own posting... just shows I ought to have tried harder in the first place.. still... The licenses that are listed in the Terminal Server Licensing administrative tool may appear as either Windows 2000 Server-Terminal Services CAL Token (Per-Device) or Windows 2000 Terminal Services Client Access License . The license name that appears... 4/3/2003 4/21/2003 KB=20 There does appear to be an article relating to this.. but since every search I do on the MS support site lists every document as not found.. I guess they are having a bad hair day. Still .. when it's working I'll at least know what they (or me) has done to change this. Have I missed something ???? I needed to add some new TS CALs to one of our TS licensing boxes I used the usual action, install licenses. I asked for another 10 "windows 2000 Terminal Services Clinet Access License" - rather than the Internet connector license.. It installed fine but in the TS licensing detail pane they show up as=3D20 Windows 2000 Server - Terminal Services CAL Token (per-device) Rather than=3D20 Windows 2000 Terminal Services Client Access License I've not had to install licenses on this box for ages..(pre SP3) is this something to do with W2K SP3 ? People are being issued with the new licenses so I'm not overly concerned.. but I don't remember seeing anything about a change.
