[THIN] Limiting memory usage for one app

Does anyone have a strategy or tool for limiting how much memory a =
specific
application can take? I have a client with a problem app that is being =
fixed
but needs a temporary fix. I recall using a "maxmem" util for apps like
Access in the old days, but don't know what the current tool would be.
