In the past, Microsoft had an ASP program which allowed you special =
pricing
and other options. I don't know what their current offering is, but the =
only
way around a copy for every user is this road. The other option you =
might
consider is requiring that the customer provide the license, they may
already own it!

Subject: [THIN] Licensing Office in an ASP environment

Hello. Currently my firm offers our accounting software to our =
customers
via Citrix MF / Nfuse. We are discussing offering Microsoft Office to =
our
users as well. One main concern I have is the licensing of the product.
Sadly I do not have much say in the issue, but I'm trying to gather some
ideas to provide to management. I was wondering if anyone has dealt with
providing Office to external users. Do you purchase the licenses and =
sell
the service, or make the customer purchase there own licenses and manage
individual installs for each firm? The latter sounds kind of tricky and
wasteful. Any ideas would be great.=20
Also if you have any lockdown / security issues that you have
encountered, please let me know. Thanks
