I was told the same thing point blank from our Citrix SE... that the CMC in
FR3 was not dependent on a specific Java version.

Shouldn't cause an issue but sometimes can make the CMC on that server
useless. I have seen this at lots of different places with Java apps.
You can generally get the app to work but at the cost of the CMC
functionality sometimes.

Funny thing is I just the other week heard a Citrix SE at one of my
clients stating loudly that this is not the case and there should be no
problems running different revs of JREs....

It shouldn't. I went through a ton of pain for solve this exact
question.
What we found is that only one of the JREs can dominate the registry.
Look
in the registry classes and you will see a lot of associations for jre.
What we had to do was put JRE1.3 in the path statement. It worked for
the
app that we needed, may not work for yours.

Our Citrix servers are running MetaFrame XPe FR3, and that installs JRE
1.4.
Now, we have a requirement to load an application that requires JRE
1.3.

Will installing 1.3 cause any problems?
