are you modifying "shell folders" or "user shell folders"?

"user shell folders" is the one you want.

When I redirect the local settings and application data folders they
resort back to their defaults after I logoff and logon. Has anyone done
this with success?

you can redirect just about anything by messing with the
hkcu\software\microsoft\windows\current version\explorer\user shell
folders

You can also use a script or profgen to create the outlook profiles
while they are logging in.

Roaming profiles would also make sense. If you can keep the profiles
small by redirecting crap like the ie cache, they will load plenty fast.

Subject: [THIN] Folder Redirection / Tricerat RegSet

Hello Everyone,

I have an issue where I am load-balancing 9 MFXPe servers and using
local profiles. Everthing is fine except for Outlook. What happens is
that users get extremely irritated when having to recreate their profile
everytime they connect to a new server. Can I centrally store their
Outlook profiles or redirect their Local Settings and Application Data
folders as I would their My Documents? I have been playing around with
Tricerat's RegSet but after redirecting their LS and AD folders they
return back to their defaults after logoff and logon. I am getting a lot
of pressure on this and any help would be greatly appreciated. Full
roaming profiles are out of the question. Thanks.
