Joe,

I have the executable. It does not install on a Server 2003 server or
Citrix server. It flashes the gas gauge and appears to install, but if
you look in the Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash folder, there is only a
single file there: NPSWF32.DLL and when I click on the internal Flash
test site, it indicates Flash is not installed. So far I have tested
this on a Windows Server 2003 (fresh build - no updates), Server 2003 -
R2, and Server 2003 (updates by no SP1). This fails across the board,
but works fine on an XP desktop. Unless there is another install program
available other than the "ActiveX_install_flash_player.exe," the only
way I see to possibly accomplish this is through the Adobe website
install. That is currently not an option for me as the website is
blocked. I am going to try to get it opened up for access and test that.

Thanks!

rob

You can download the Flash 9 executable from Adobes' website.

Subject: [THIN] Flash 9 install

I am having trouble installing Flash 9 on my Citrix servers. I perform
the install and when I go to an internal test site, it indicates it is
not installed. Of course, I can not go to Macromedia and download and
install as only allowed sites are accessible from the Citrix farm and
Macromedia is not on that list. Does anyone have any ideas?? Is anyone
using Flash 9 on Citrix servers? I am on MF XPe 1.0 FR3/SP4 on Windows
2003 servers. The developers are writing updates to our internal
web-base application using Adobe Flex 2 which requires Flash 9 to
properly function.

Thanks!
