It actually copies the installs the vnc program to the client (through the C$ share, that's why the re-mapped drives don't work) and starts the service. We've been using VNC for years with a front end program I wrote that scans the network for devices and lists them by machine name / username / ip address. Quite Cool. AND FREE!!! Also, when you disconnect, it appears to remove the service and clean itself up. Very nice, but if you are going to be connecting again, its faster just to leave the service on there running with a password. Nuf said. Thanks! -Matt >>> jimkenz@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx 11/6/2003 10:26:42 AM >>> Alright this is an absolutely AWESOME (and a bit scary) utility written in TightVNC. It allows you to remote control ANY PC on your network that you have admin privileges to with NO client necessary and it is my favorite price FREE under GPL: <http://www.gensortium.com/products/gencontrol.html> http://www.gensortium.com/products/gencontrol.html Enjoy, Jim Kenzig <http://thethin.net/> http://thethin.net ******************************************************** This Week's Sponsor - RTO Software / TScale What's keeping you from getting more from your terminal servers?
