Damn right, does exactly what is say's on the tin - cool product, great guy
to speak with !

We only have a small scale Citrix install here but it gave us enough scope
to easily cope with a downed server, which we could never have done before.
We've been running since the original TScale release and it just run's and
run's and run's !

from Aurema and RTO Software

Folks,

We have a couple of things to add, specifically to the users (and
prospective users) of TScale on this list.

First of all thank you. Jim Kenzig and Jan Broucineck, respectively the
owner of this list, and a prominent member and poster were our first two
users. Through your support of our first version and your counsel with
subsequent versions, you and the other people on this list made TScale what
it is today, THE market leading memory optimization product (with some
pretty decent CPU management thrown in for good measure).

As you can see from the announcement below, the memory optimization
technology in TScale will become incorporated in "future versions of
MetaFrame Presentation Server". What this means is that Citrix has validated
the problem that we solve with memory optimization, and validated that we
have the best solution. So, if you want to put 33% more users on your
servers through the use of the best memory optimization technology, you want
wait until Citrix ships that future version and you find the time to upgrade
to it, or you can get it in the form of TScale now. RTO has a variety of
attractive licensing programs that will ensure that you get an immediate ROI
on your TScale investment.

Once again, thank you for all of your continuing support and enthusiasm, The
nicest thing about being here at iForum (I am typing this from our booth at
the show), is seeing our customers come into our booth and tell our
prospects that "Our product does what we say it does". That is a compliment
that we will continue to strive to live up to as our product line evolves.

Please see our web site for more information about the announcement, and
some hints as to what is coming up next.

Best Regards,

Citrix Licenses CPU and Memory Optimization Technologies from Aurema and RTO
Software
Technologies Improve Performance and End-User Access Experiences for Citrix
MetaFrame Presentation Server Customers
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - 10/4/2004 - Today at Citrix iForum(tm) Global 2004,
Citrix Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS), the global leader in access
infrastructure solutions, announced that it has licensed two technologies
from Aurema Inc. and RTO Software Inc. The technologies improve server
performance and enhance an end-user's access experience by optimizing
processor use and virtual memory in Citrix(r) MetaFrame(r) Presentation
Server deployments.
To increase IT efficiency and cost-effectiveness, enterprises need to
provide access to more and more critical business applications while
concurrently increasing the number of end-users supported by each server.
These demands, however, can lead to impaired system performance. By
licensing these workload and memory optimization technologies, Citrix will
help enterprises maximize the performance of their existing hardware and
software and still give employees the secure, easy and instant on-demand
access they require.
Aurema's workload management technology will be incorporated into future
versions of MetaFrame Presentation Server to optimize usage of system CPU
and improve overall server performance and scalability. By ensuring
consistent, adequate allocation of processor resources between users,
applications, and the operating system, Aurema technology protects against
operating system starvation and prevents any user or program from adversely
affecting the performance of another on a shared server.
"We are pleased that Citrix has selected Aurema's workload management
technology to improve the performance, quality of service, and scalability
of future versions of its MetaFrame Presentation Server," said Mark Wright,
president and chief executive officer for Aurema. "By licensing our
industry-leading CPU workload management technology, Citrix is demonstrating
a commitment to its customers to provide them with the same Quality of
Service and Total Cost of Ownership benefits that Aurema's large installed
base experiences today."
RTO's memory optimization technology will be incorporated in future versions
of MetaFrame Presentation Server to allow IT administrators to support more
end users with existing MetaFrame Presentation Server farms, thereby
reducing the need to purchase new servers or scaling out existing
environments. More end users per server means organizations can reduce
server hardware expenditures and increase usage and consistency in MetaFrame
Presentation Server installations.
"Since October 2001, RTO has delivered its ground-breaking memory
optimization technology, typically allowing customers to add significantly
more users per server," said Kevin Goodman, chief executive officer of RTO
Software. "We are pleased that Citrix has selected the TScale approach to
increase scalability on MetaFrame Presentation Server with this licensing
arrangement. Citrix's large installed base of customers will see an
immediate benefit from our technology in the form of improved server memory
capacity and performance."
The combined benefits of these two new technologies mean enterprises will be
better able to leverage existing IT infrastructure investments, generate a
quicker return on all their MetaFrame Presentation Server-delivered
applications and content, and deliver higher-quality access experiences to
greater numbers of users.
"Improving the total cost of ownership for customers of Citrix's access
infrastructure solutions is a continuing focus," said Tony Marzulli, senior
vice president product and demand marketing at Citrix Systems Inc. "By
adding more users per server and optimizing system performance we are
demonstrably improving the value that MetaFrame Presentation Server brings
to our customers. After evaluating the top technologies in this space, we
selected Aurema and RTO Software - both proven market and technical leaders
- in order to improve the performance and end-user experience for our
MetaFrame Presentation Server customers."
