I'm trying to recreate your issue here, but on my farms the show up like client\"client name"\"printer name" I would certainly go for a simple kix script that runs and checks for certain printers that are connected....and change their names in the registry. I think it's the easiest way....just find out where the data is written in the registry and your good to go... If you need any help, mail me off list...... I try to clarify. The client is Spanish or English, but the server is installed in English but installed language kit in japanase, beacuse is the only way to write in japanase by the japanase staff. Well, it's not the problem. When the users (OS in spanish) connect to server and map the local printer in the side of server creates the printer as 'printer name/user name/sessionXXX' the only character in japanese is 'sessionXXX'. And this is not posible to change in the side of client. Any suggestions. In our farm we have one server configured in Japanese, and if users connects to jap. server, the printer autocreated has japanese characters in its name, the some programs (Client Access) doesn't print. The question: How can I change the name of the printer? Because each time they connect autocreate new printer and the name changes. Thanks.
