What does overhead with Omonipage look like? Does it kill the server?
I would expecte reeally high CPU utilization. It's very cool that you
have it running though...

get the latest version of network scan gear from the canon website. I =
think 1.1 or 1.2 is current. I think the imagerunners have an issue =
with scanning across subnets. You might be able to confirm or deny that
= for me. Mine is on the same subnet as my servers so it has not been
an = issue.

Install it in install mode then copy the winnt\TWAIN_32 directory to the
= users home drive windows folder. ex: h:\windows\twain_32 is what you
= might end up with. Or make a path statement. I do it per person so =
only a few people use it at once.

Drop them a shortcut to the Network Scan gear tool and run it from their
= session and they should be able to get it.

Sometimes I have to mess with the Scanners and Cameras folder in the =
control panel to get it to acknowledge is as a twain device. Some apps
= still get fussy. We are able to run Omnipage 11 and OCR straight into
= word though.

It is one of those things I just kept messing with until I got it to =
work.

Greg

What should I look out for when I try the scanning option. Is there any
= info anywhere on how to setup. My server config is same as yours Win2k
Sp2 = MFXP Sp2/Fr2.
