[THIN] Re: AW: Re: ICA won't launch

The only time I recall seeing that problem was when the client was installed on
a workstation profile that did not have admin rights.  We'd have the user get
their LAN Admin on the phone, login as themselves, run the install and voila.

Keep us posted.

I will if possible, they arent "our" PCs so my reach and influence over them is
limited to what the user knows how to do and has access to do

Try with the actual Administrator account, that will rule
out the profile.

  Try
creating a new local windows user with admin rights and use this to launch
the
connection. I have had a similar problem and we could only fix it by creating
  new user profiles.

  Hope this
  helps…

Checked Windows firewall, the citrix software
has an exemption in to allow it, Also, tried turning firewall off and was
  still unable to  connect.

I will have to try removing the Hardware
  key,
I did install full PN, no help.
I have right-clicked, saved the ICA
file and tried to launch manually, again no go.

Can you download files from a
browser or do you have a policy set that restricts that?  From the web
client try right clicking on the application and saving the launch.ica file
  and running that.

No error messages that I can see.  It just
doesn't launch.  As far as I can tell it doesn't even attempt to start a
connection.  From looking at task manager and I did try FILEMON, i
couldn't find any evidence it even tried to launch the Wfica process.
Admittedly I am only able to access it through a "RescueMe"
  session.

  What is the error message?
Can you access through the PN client instead of using an ICA file?  Is
the client coming in through a firewall?

I think I posted on this before, but I have a
client who still cannot launch the ICA files.
I have taken the following
  steps to no avail
He is running XP SP2 and IE6

1) Un-installed
web client and re-installed with Full PN client (version 11)
2) Cleared
  Temp files in IE.
3) Unchecked "Do not save encrypted files to disk
4)
  Cleared the HLKM/software/Microsoft/MSLicensing/Store?license00x keys
5)
  Run wfica32.exe /setup
6) Removed Google and Yahoo Toolbars.
7) Double
  checked file associations.

I have tried right-clicking and saving the
ICA file, then launching it manually.  Still no luck
I think next I
  will try an exorcism.
