Into the Compound by Cervin, Vanir, and John Fresh air. That was the first thing Vanir noticed as they materialized on the planet. It smells tangy, he thought, almost like pines. In such an unfamiliar situation, he fell back to what he learned from his unusual teachers at his equally unusually school. His senses were as normal as any other Human's but he could focus in on them. "Look there. I believe that is our objective," he said softly to John and Cervin. It looked like something from a medieval fantasy. The mountains behind the building were magnificent as was the building itself. It was large and sprawling, complete with turreted stone walls and armed sentries. Of course, even from a distance he could see that their weapons were decidedly not medieval. "Vater im Himmel, Gott segnen uns," he murmured. Cervin perked an eyebrow, not getting what he said and chose to let Vanir's comment go. His communicator bleeped, "Cervo, this is Trey, we're all set for you guys to go. I'm going to beaming in some guests to aid in the distraction. Don't ask questions, just get your asses inside that compound. We'll keep a lookout for you." The link was severed quickly, and Cervin smirked and started walking. The walk was quiet, all three moving as quickly as possible. "Seems they have... something inside their compound," John narrowed his eyes as the trio got closer. Stopping real quick, "Alright, the...animals are in, and they're being chased out. But that doesn't give us much time to move in and not be noticed." Vanir offered Cervin a slight shrug. "If you have a map or some idea as to how big the place is, I can teleport in," he told them. He held up a hand and waved it slightly. "I can actually carry a person with me but the after effects are not always so pleasant. If that doesn't sound so preferable, tell me where I can go to let you in." Cervin quickly scanned the compound, he looked up, the animals were being chased out quicker than expected. He looked up, "Vanir, if you could teleport us right," he pointed at the station that looked tiny from the distance, "there. Life signs are away from there and all looking out. Plus it looks like it's close to a door." Vanir nodded. "That's fine but expect to be a bit disoriented for a few moments, if not outright nauseous. All it will do to me, since I have taken others with me before, is slow me down for a while." Cervin gestured for John to go first. And it was within moments that both disappeared. On the inside of the monastery, Vanir made sure that John was not going to pass out. It certainly looked that way to him. The other man waved him off and seconds later the blue skinned mutant was back next to Cervin. He came back, almost instantly. Cervin smiled, "That's gotta come in handy. I'd like that ability, if I knew how to handle it." "Be careful what you wish for," Vanir said dryly. "The ability is easy enough to learn how to handle. It's the attending hate mobs and people who want to kill you that are a problem." He put his hands on Cervin's shoulders and they rejoined John, who looked to be recovered. Cervin looked like he was going to kill Vanir, though. "I warned you," Vanir said simply. He wasn't going to laugh but he'd seen that look before. Looking around, the animals were chased away. Cervin put his hood on, cursing internally at the scratchy material. That being the least of his problems as he felt like puking. He shook his head, taking out his PADD, "this way." Vanir followed silently after Cervin, wondering all the while why he was getting a very bad sense of deja vu. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
