As I said before listen to the podcast I posted Yesterday and you'll get an idea as to how the app works. I wanted a demo but after hearing how well the dude was doing in the podcast I was sold enough to purchase the app. That was a hard pill to swallow I mean with my thoughts about the NFB and blindness organizations in general. But, they've done well with the app. With the price of the app, I would hope future upgrades will be free. If not, I'll sure have something to say about that. LOL. ----- Original Message ----- From: Toni To: the-facts-machine@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, September 19, 2014 12:19 PM Subject: [the-facts-machine] Re: KNFB reader app results. This sounds very encouraging rich you are honest. That's great. I am tend also to get the 6+ maybe Christmas or around my birthday. So I also intend to get the cayenne FB reader in time. And you are right all we can do is keep practicing with it. I'm using it with my iPhone 5 and have gotten the best free hand results I've gotten with any iPhone OCR apps. By free hand I mean using no stand of any kind to scan documents. The processing is slower with the iPhone 5 than the 5s but it does work. I can only imagine the results with a better camera. It does take practice but is well worth the time. I'm not always gonna have the stand scan or some kind of stand with me. So I want the best scanning I can get without a stand. Although I wish the price of the KNFB reader wasn't so high, I am impressed with the app. I plan to get the iPhone 6 plus as soon as I can and I'm sure the app will do even better. That's my opinion and I'm stickin' to it. After more practice, I'll find something to scan that I can post for ya to hear.
