[texbirds] Re: tropical mockingbird and unaccepted records

my thought was that a master list of all species that had been documented but
for which records were unaccepted (for whatever reason) might be informative,
and also might (in some cases) spur better documentation or provide a starting
point for research.

Just a thought

The proper wording/reason for the Tropical Mockingbird record is:

      "unaccepted, natural occurrence questionable"

TBRC Annual Reports that list all the Accepted and Not Accepted
records that were decisioned that year can be found at:

    http://texasbirds.org/tbrc/annuals.htm

There is not currently an easy, publicly accessible way to see why
each reviewed record was Not Accepted, though that will come at some
point in the future. Taking a quick look at decisions in the past ten
years, the only other record that was Not Accepted with the reason of
"unaccepted, natural occurrence questionable" was:

Black-headed Siskin (Spinus notata). South Padre Is., Cameron, on
4 March 2009 (2009-20)
