Hey Texbirders, Dave Elder leading the Wed. morning bird walk with me bringing up the rear had a pretty good morning with ll participants finding 68 species of birds. Lots of duck on Ibis Pond and some good activity at Alligator Lake. Sparrows are almost nonexitent this winter. Warblers also seem slower than usual, but take a look at my ebird report below to see we still have a pretty good diversity of birds in our 230 acres. I went back out this afternoon and added about 15 or so more species of which I will do another ebird report. We have bird walks every Wed., Sat., and Sunday mornings leaving the deck at 8:30 AM and is included with the price of admission. We usually start a deck list beginning at 8 AM, so get there a little early and see all the birds we can get from the deck before starting our walk. It has been several days since the Rose-throated Becard has been seen but I feel she is still around just need more eyes and a little patience to find her. OK, remember y'all, if you ----- Bird for your health, Forget your worries, You'll be happier. Huck Hutchens, Park Host, Estero Llano Grande SP/WBC Weslaco, TX.
