Despite the fact that things slowed down a little yesterday I still managed a 14 Warbler day at Smith Oaks in High Island. Several birds over the last few days have offered photo ops so here are a few pictures from the last 4-5 days. The majority are from High Island at bot Boy Scout Woods and Smith Oaks. The highlight yesterday was the Black-billed Cuckoo that sat about 15 feet from me for photos. There were apparently 2 in the same area and several Yellow-billed running around also. http://hansonnaturephotography.smugmug.com/Nature/Texas-Birds/17293655_vKBNQ B#!i=2469935115&k=G2Tsbqq 43 species total X Neotropic Cormorant 3 Tricolored Heron X Roseate Spoonbill 1 Red-tailed Hawk 4 Yellow-billed Cuckoo 1 Black-billed Cuckoo 6 Chimney Swift 2 Eastern Wood-Pewee 6 Eastern Kingbird 2 White-eyed Vireo 2 Red-eyed Vireo 4 Purple Martin X Tree Swallow 2 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 1 Swainson's Thrush 4 Gray Catbird 3 Northern Mockingbird 1 Brown Thrasher 1 Ovenbird 2 Worm-eating Warbler 3 Black-and-white Warbler 2 Prothonotary Warbler 4 Tennessee Warbler 1 Kentucky Warbler 1 Common Yellowthroat 1 Hooded Warbler 2 Cerulean Warbler 2 Northern Parula 2 Blackpoll Warbler 1 Yellow-rumped Warbler 1 Yellow-throated Warbler 2 Black-throated Green Warbler 2 White-crowned Sparrow 4 Summer Tanager 3 Scarlet Tanager 5 Northern Cardinal 8 Rose-breasted Grosbeak 1 Blue Grosbeak 2 Indigo Bunting 6 Red-winged Blackbird 4 Great-tailed Grackle 8 Orchard Oriole 1 Baltimore Oriole David Hanson Baytown/Mont Belvieu Area Chambers County Edit your Freelists account settings for TEXBIRDS at //www.freelists.org/list/texbirds Reposting of traffic from TEXBIRDS is prohibited without seeking permission from the List Owner
