[texbirds] Richland Creek WMA today

Eamonn Thurmond and I birded Richland Creek WMA this morning. There were
many large waterbirds, including 1 American Bittern, 3 Tricolored, 15
Little Blue, 1 Green and 1 Yellow-crowned Night-Heron, approximately 200
Great and 160 Snowy Egrets, 40 White and 140 White-faced Ibis. We had good
looks at an Eared Grebe and 8 Soras near the road, and had 30 Pectoral, 2
Western, 2 Solitary and 100 Least Sandpipers, 10 Long-billed Dowitchers, 20
Lesser Yellowlegs and 20 Wilson's Snipe, mostly near the entrance to the
north unit. An Osprey and 3 Broad-winged Hawks flew over the south unit.
