Dear Texbirders, The Lesser Black-backed Gull which Sonny referred to is Old Faithful. The bird first turned up in the late fall of 2009 as a first-winter bird, returned a year later as a 2nd winter and has been back every year since. It is quite reliable, and almost always somewhere between Markers 45 and 60. It is not skittish and seems to be pretty much oblivious to foot traffic.
