Interesting article on birds and transmission towers Interesting article that was sent to me below. http://abcnews.go.com/m/story?id213952&sidy We have an electrical transmission tower line going through our property and find fatalities underneath, especially during migration. Most interesting is we sometimes find a species that we don't see on the ground until a week later. Lincoln Sparrows seem most susceptible . The raptors find the towers a perfect perch and the Loggerhead Shrike likes the lower perches, along with the Great Horned Owl in the evening. We are enjoying wintering American Pipets this winter in both fields. Susan Schaezler WarblerWoods.org 501(c)(3) Cibolo/Schertz Lone Star Land Steward Winner 2011.
